ARALDITE 2022 methacrylate. Toughened and resilient, ARALDITE 2022 is
specially formulated for producing fast, durable bonds on difficult-to-join
substrates including thermoset composites and rigid thermoplastics such as ABS,
PVC, acrylic and polycarbonate.
Gap-filling to 150 mils, the high-performance methacrylate can be applied
with minimal surface pretreatment. It features a 10-minute gel time and bonded
assemblies can be handled after just 18 minutes at room temperature. Full cure
takes 30 minutes at 77ºF (25ºC) or, for a faster cure, elevated temperatures can
be used. ARALDITE 2022 features excellent resistance to gas, oil and chemical
exposure along with good impact resistance. It is also exhibits good lap shear
strength.
